Returns & Refunds
At Queen of Coops™, we take great pride in building premium-quality coop kits using custom-manufactured components. Because each kit is assembled from custom-made parts specifically for our system, we encourage you to review the product specifications carefully and to contact us with any questions before placing your order. We're always happy to help make sure the Queen of Coops™ system is the right fit for your flock.
Please note that our kits ship by freight in both directions. Return shipping on a freight item is significant, so reaching out with questions before you order can save you considerable cost.
Return Eligibility
Unused and unassembled kits may be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided they:
- Are in new, resalable condition
- Include all original components, hardware, and packaging
- Have not been assembled, modified, cut, drilled, painted, or otherwise altered
- Have received prior return authorization from Queen of Coops™
To request a return, contact us at support@queenofcoops.com to obtain return authorization before shipping anything back. Returns sent without prior authorization cannot be accepted.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for all return freight charges. Because these kits ship by freight, we strongly recommend insuring the return shipment. Customers are responsible for any damage that occurs during return transit.
Restocking Fee
Approved returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. This fee helps cover inspection, inventory verification, repackaging, and the costs associated with custom-manufactured components.
Refunds
After your returned kit has been received and inspected, we will issue a refund for the purchase price, less:
- Original outbound shipping charges (if applicable)
- Return freight costs
- The 15% restocking fee
Because this kit ships by freight in both directions, please be aware that outbound and return shipping costs are both deducted from your refund. Depending on your location, these costs can be substantial — we're glad to answer any questions before you order.
Refunds are typically processed within 7 to 10 business days after inspection.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Kits that have been assembled or partially assembled
- Components that have been modified or damaged after delivery
- Special-order or replacement parts purchased separately
- Products returned without prior authorization
Damaged or Missing Parts
Please inspect your shipment carefully upon delivery.
For visible freight damage (for example, a crushed or damaged pallet), note it on the delivery receipt before signing, and photograph the shipment. Signing for a damaged shipment without noting it can make it difficult to recover the claim from the freight carrier.
For damage or missing parts discovered after unpacking, notify us within 14 days of delivery. We will promptly replace damaged or missing components at no charge.
